The Whole Story With Anderson Cooper – The Hidden Homeless

This Homeless Youth Awareness Month, Safe Horizon’s Streetwork Project was featured on CNN’s The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper. The episode, titled “The Hidden Homeless,” follows two young clients, Imani and Malachi, as they navigate the harsh realities of homelessness in New York City—and the resilience it takes to keep moving forward.

Their stories reflect what so many young people experience: the struggle to find safety, the fight to be seen, and the hope that community can bring. Our team at Streetwork meets youth like Imani and Malachi every day—offering warmth, advocacy, housing support, and a belief that safety and healing are possible.

You can help homeless youth by donating to Safe Horizon today.
