Have you ever felt down, sad and discouraged? Personally, I have and it is not easy trying to overcome them. But after watching a few episodes of LEGO Ninjago, I noticed that the Ninja have a recurring phrase before doing Spinjitzu (Spinjitzu is a powerful spin, used in combat), that being “Go Ninja, Go!” While preparing for exams, during exam seasons. I was stressed and procrastination was weighing me down at the wrong time. It wasn’t until after an episode of binge watching Ningago, did I realize I really need to work or else I would have to face regret and a lot more stress, so in my head, I said, “Go Sanam, Go!” and there I performed Spinjiztu and started working away.
Essentially, mottos can help in many situations, such as being anxious to meet new people, recovering after a bad grade, the list goes on. But I highly suggest you put thought into your motto, as it should reflect you, your interest, values, struggles, etc. For example, in my motto, it not only reflects my interest in Ninjago, but it reflects my value of getting things done and my school struggles. So what do you say? Go create that motto. A motto that reflects you is bound to be an amazing one.
Ideas to base your moto off of:
- A movie, tv show or book quote
- Company slogans
- Quote from a celebrity/important figure
- Part of a song lyrics
- Your choice
